2018 National Coffee Day Bloghop

Hi Everyone! Happy National Coffee Day! First of all we would like to thank Amy T. for putting this and all the coffee loving blog hops together. We are happy to be a super sponsor for this special National Coffee Day celebration.

I’ve made a fun coffee card using our Sugartree Stamps digital set Hug in a Mug

National Coffee Day Card Sugartree Stamps

I used the Hero Arts woodgrain stencil and some distress inks to create the patterned background, which I die cut with a spellbinders oval stencil and backed with some vellum to tone down the dark brown card base I used.
I colored my images with the falliest fall copic combinations I could come up with. Hope you like!

Some of our design team members have created coffee projects today too! Check them out on their blogs:

a2z Scrapbooking was started to help out with charities that support people with celiac disease and those who have Behcet’s disease. The store employees are volunteers and every purchase you make through a2z helps others. One way we use the proceeds from the shop is to fund a camp experience at Flat Rock River YMCA for kids with celiac disease. Nothing makes me happier than supporting charities with my crafty purchases…it’s such a win/win, doncha think?

Hope you have fun with the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop, that you stop by the store to have a look around and that you win something cool! And if you’re inspired to join in our December “Anything But A Card” challenge with your Hero Arts products, you could win a $25 gift code to the store!

Hero Arts Coffee Cup with blingy sleeve

Hi,

I don’t usually embellish a lot on my cards, but I figure I should break out from my comfort zone and try it.  I am inspired by this month’s challenge theme:  Embellish It.

embellishment

And this is what I came up with:

a2z_hero_arts_coffee_cup_tag_20161119

My process:

  • Press various distress ink pads on craft sheet and spritz with Perfect Pearl to create shimmery watercolor solution.
  • Press think white card stock onto it, let paper absorb the watercolor.  Let dry.
  • Stamp cup and foam from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag clear set on white card stock with Vintage Photo, heat emboss with clear powder.  Die cut with matching Coffee Cup Tag Frame Cut.
  • Add clear Wink of Stella to foam.
  • Die cut the sleeve using white card stock, trim and shorten.  Use glossy accent to adhere three row of  assorted Hero Arts Dots onto the sleeve leaving a tiny bit room on last row.
  • Stamp holly leaf from the same set with Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive twice each color and die cut.  Adhere assort red bling to them.
  • To ground my coffee, I mean to create a ground to sit my coffee cup :), I stamp the smudged post mark from the Hero Art Vintage Christmas Post clear set with Vintage Photo.
  • Stamp sentiment with Vintage Photo on watercolor panel, heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
  • Adhere coffee cup, foam, sleeve, and holly leaves as shown.

Here’s a couple of close up shots.

It’s Time for a Hero Arts Caffeine Fix

Yay, it’s time for the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop! a2z Scrapbooking is excited to be a sponsor again for all you talented, prolific coffee/tea/cocoa loving cardmakers!summerclh

My card today uses some digi stamps. a2z Scrapbooking Supplies is the official Hero Arts digital stamp retailer and one of the most popular sets is Caffeine Fix. There are several fun stamps that you can play with to make exactly whatever size you want. I used the coffee cup and layered the stamp in different sizes in my Corel Draw program (like Adobe Photoshop), added the sentiment and then printed.

il_570xn-649124046_ngae

But sometimes, I just open the stamp in Windows and print straight from there and then trim it to add to a card later.

IMG_1400

I used my Tombow markers to watercolor the card base (by smooshing) and the cups (with a brush) and added my own steam and the counter top. I think the sentiments look so cool. I added a fun cut on the card side with a new stitched die I just bought.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to link up at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so you can try to win your choice of digital stamp sets or $25 gift certificate from a2z Scrapbooking!

Will you pick inks, stencils or these cute stamps if  you win?

Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

CLHello & Welcome to our stop on the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
We are happy to be returning as a sponsor!

The a2z scrapbooking store is a Hero Arts retailer on Etsy selling the latest and greatest
Hero Arts stamps, dies, inks, & more! a2z scrapbooking was started to raise funds for auto-immune diseases charities including Celiac Disease, Camp Gluten Freedom, and Behcets.

Hero Arts Caffine Fix
Today’s card uses the Caffeine Fix digital set from Hero Arts.
I started by printing off a pattern of coffee beans onto some kraft cardstock and trimming out
a window using rectangle dies. Using those same dies I cut out a cream colored cardstock and stamped the Hero Arts Flourish Background in versa mark ink and heat embossed with pearlized white embossing powder.
Finally, I printed & cut out the coffee cup image from the digital set, and put everything together with lots and lots of foam tape (this month’s challenge here on the blog is Dimension after-all).

If you’re new to the a2z scrapbooking blog we would love for you to join us in our monthly challenges. New challenges are posted on the 1st of the month and entering can land you a $25 gift card to the store! We’re also on on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!

I’m Kristina & I’m glad you could join me today. How about a shopping discount? Use code KRISTINA15 in the store for 15% off your total purchase {minimum $25 purchase applies} No expiration, use it now & later!
