HELLO BEAUTIFUL SUNFLOWER

I have a cheery Sunflower Hello Beautiful card for you!  It’s also my first post as a Design Team member here at A2ZScrapbooking. I’m so excited to be here!

I did a little masking in honor of our A2ZScrapbooking February Challenge.  Hope you can play along with us this month – winner of the challenge gets a $25 gift certificate to the A2ZScrapbooking Etsy Store .

Hello Sunflower 1

I used the sunflower from the Hero Arts Digital set Poetic Petals DT004 printed it out twice, once for the card-one for a mask.

I sponged Hero Arts Ombre Inks on the stamp.   ( Mint to Green and Butter to Orange).  I fussy cut the 2nd flower, used as a mask and stamped the “Hello” stamp from Hero Arts Hello Stamp and Die set, to peek out from behind the flower.

I made matching paper by dragging the ink pads on cardstock.   I cut 3 “Hello’s” with “Stick It” paper on the back, making it quick to  stack them.  I stacked fun foam, green, and black for dimension.

I stamped “beautiful” on the banner, added a mini black brad on one end and popped it up.   I used some stiched rectangle dies from my stash to make the different layers.

Lastly I put Wink of Stella on the flower for extra shimmer.

a2z September 2015 Challenge

Hello everyone!!!  Welcome to the month of September!!  I can’t believe we are back to school all ready.  In NY, my niece starts today and my daughter tomorrow.  The rest of the city starts next week. We usually start after Labor day too, but the school district pushed those days up.   I guess we are still lucky, because some areas have started already!!

Our new challenge will be so much fun and full of sequin and/or other shaker items!!  Our challenge this month is all about Shake It Up!!  Shaker cards are my favorite type of card these days.  I love the added look they give to cards and the way the receiver looks when they get them.

So how do you create a shaker card?   A couple of the DT’s have a tutorial on their blog for you to review!

Please be sure that your project contains at least ONE main HERO ART Product!  This will be fun and interesting.

Selective Stenciling with Embossing Paste

Hi Friends, Kristina here with some more embossing paste play for this months challenge!
I wanted to go a little outside the box, so instead of using a whole stencil, I selectively stenciled certain parts!

A whole lotta masking tape went into the making of this card!

First I made a washi tape border down the left side of the card and attached a strip of Vellum.
Next I used Micropore tape to mask off the area’s of the stencil {one at a time} I wanted to use and
rubbed on embossing paste died with Hero Arts dye inks, letting each dry before adding the next image.

To finish the card I added a simple sentiment and a few sequins!
