Hero Arts Holiday Floral Christmas card

Hi everyone and happy Friday!

Ilina’s here today with an “unconventional” Christmas card. For my card I used an old technique that I haven’t done in a long time and it’s called “Black Magic”. I used the Holiday Floral background stamp and Unicorn pigment ink to stamp on black card stock. Then I dried it with the heat gun and colored in the images using my Prismacolor pencils.

Next I die cut it with the Infinity dies and adhered to black card base.  I die cut the Merry sentiment and added some shimmer pen, then adhered to my card, then I stamped the Christmas sentiment with white unicorn pigment ink!

Don’t forget to use the “Ilina15” code to get 15% off your order of $25+ in the A2zScrapbooking store  and if you don’t see something contact the store and Linda may be able to order it for you! And the Holiday Floral stamp is on SALE in the store!

Hero Arts Holiday Animals on Wood Slices

Hi stampers!

Ilina’s here today with a holiday project for you. I am slowly getting in Christmas mood even though we still have 80 F weather here in Atlanta. I decided to make some wood slices that can be used as ornaments or magnets. I used the Hero Arts intense black ink pad to stamp my images onto the wood block. Then I colored the everything using Prismacolor pencils, and to finish it off I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Next you can drill hole on the top to use it as an ornament or you can add magnet on the back to use it as a magnet.

Head to the A2ZScrapbooking store for all your Hero Arts needs! Use the code “Ilina15” to get 15% off your order of $25+

Happy Halloween

Hi Stampers!

Ilina’s here today with a simple Halloween card to just say Happy Halloween. I hope you had great weekend and have a safe Halloween. For my card I used the Boo stamp and cut set and stamped and cut bunch of little ghosts using the Hero Arts Ombre Neon ink pads. Then for my card base I used black card stock, because I really wanted the ghosts to pop up and I think I accomplished my mission. I love how the neon images look on black background. On the side I added a strip of patterned paper from Doodlebug Boos and Brews 6×6 pad. Hope you like it and you are inspired to create something today!

Peace, Love and Joy

Hi stampers!

Ilina’s here today with an unconventional Christmas card. This month’s challenge theme is ” Layer it”, so I decided to use the Paper Layering snowflakes dies.

I started with a piece of white card stock and die cut the snowflakes, next using the infinity dies I cut my panel and with the next larger die  I cut rectangle from the silver glitter paper.

Next I die cut the Peace sentiment from blue glitter paper ( before I die cut I applied Stick It adhesive on the back), then adhered to my main panel and stamped the rest of the sentiment using Tide Pool Ink. I layered everything together and adhered to  Pool note card (the darkest from the collection). To finish it up I added sequins and gems.

Winter Wonderland

Hi all,

Ilina’s here today with a snowy card for you. This month’s challenge is layering, so I decided to do a image layering to reflect the theme. And while I was creating my scene I decided to turn it into a shaker card. I LOVE how it turned out. The background is sprayed with shimmer mist and I applies clear Wink of Stella on the images, but I couldn’t really capture it with my camera.

To start I stamped my images onto white cardstock and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. For the snowman I first stamped it with Soft Sky shadow ink, then I colored each individual part with Winsor and Newton watercolor markers and stamped on top using the MISTI tool.

For the background I used Navy card stock and stamped the background with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder, then spritzed with sparkle shimmer spray. Using versamark pen, I colored some parts of the trees and then added some white puff embossing powder and heat set it.

To finish up my card I cut the top frame from 110lb Neenah white card stock and cut it using the Hero Arts rectangle infinity dies. I used some grid paper to line up both layers. . I laid fir the large die, with the cutting side up, and then secured it with some washi or microspore tape, next I lined the smaller die and did the same.

I arranged all elements and created the shaker card. I LOVE how it turned out.

You can purchase all the Hero Arts supplies in the A2Z store, and use code “Ilina15” in order to receive 15% discount on your order of $25 and there are bunch of new inventory that was added yesterday, so go check it out!

You’re so lovely

Hi stampers!

Ilina’s here today and today I have more summery card for you. The last few times I was here I shared goodies from the new Winter catalog, but since it’s still HOT here in Georgia I decided to share more summery card. I used one of my favorite sets called You’re so Lovely and stamped the flower and stem with Lime Green and Soft Pool, then added dimension with Chameleon pens by coloring over the stamped images. I die cut my white panel and the flower and assembled my card. Scroll down for list of supplies!

Hope you like my non-conventional take of the coloring challenge this month. And hope I have inspired you to play along with us this month!

And don’t forget, use the code “Ilina15” in the A2ZScrapbooking store to receive 15% off your orders of $25+

Grateful Leaves

Hi stampers!

Ilina’s here again, today. I hope you are not bored from me. Today I am jumping from Christmas to Thanksgiving. Kind of backwards, I know. For today’s card I used another of my favorite sets from the Hero Arts Holiday catalog called Color Layering Grateful leaves and the new Autumn Ombre ink pad. I stamped the leaves on Rustic Cream card stock and then trimmed the panel to be asymmetrical. For my card base I used Terracotta tile card stock and stamped the 2nd step of the leaves to add little bit more detail to the background of my card. To finish up my card I stamped the sentiment onto Dark Chocolate card stock and embossed it with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. Added some sequins and golf thread, and voila 🙂

Scroll down for the list of supplies. Note: if you see something on my list and it’s not in the store, you can always do “Request item” and it’ll be ordered for you:)

Hope you are getting in Holiday mood too and enjoying the new Hero Arts Holiday catalog. The products are available in the A2Z Scrapbooking store and you can use the code “Ilina15” to receive 15% off your order of $25+

Vintage Poinsettia

Hi everyone,

Ilina’s here today with a simple watercolored card for you. I got in Christmas mood (again) and decided to use the Vintage Poinsettia wood mount stamp from the new Holiday catalog from Hero Arts. I stamped the image twice onto watercolor paper using Versamark ink and then embossed with White embossing powder. In the next step I colored the image using Winsor and Newton watercolor markers and die cut my panel using the new Hero Arts rectangle infinity dies.

To add some interest I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder to make it pop. Then adhered it to my card and added some gold thread under it. At the end I adhered my panel to red card base!

Hope you are getting in Holiday mood too and enjoying the new Hero Arts Holiday catalog. The products are available in the A2Z Scrapbooking store and you can use the code “Ilina15” to receive 15% off your order of $25+

Thank You

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday! Ilina’s here today with another card for you this month. Since this month’s challenge is free for all, I decided to do another flower image, but this time incorporate coloring. I love coloring! So this was perfect.

For my card I started by stamping the Mum Stem image onto watercolor paper with versamark ink and then embossed it with White Embossing powder. Next using 4 Daniel Smith watercolors I colored it. After everything was dry, I cut my panel. In the next step I cut a little strip from black card stock and stamped the “Thank you” sentiment from the You’re so Lovely set with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder, then trimmed it to my desired length.

Next I assembled my card and to finish it I added some sequins, gold thread and golden sunset glitter Nuvo drops.

Don’t forget to use the code “Ilina15” (the first character is capital “i”) when you shop in the A2ZScrapbooking store to receive 15% off your order of $25+.
