A Hero Arts Retailer

To do….

If you are anything like me, I’ll bet you are always making some kind of notes or “To Do Lists” to keep track of everything you need to accomplish.  I find that my lists get bigger and bigger as we get closer to the Holiday or other special events.

I have the wonderful new array of “Planner Products” created by Kelly Purkey for Hero Arts, I’m super excited to share just one idea I came up with using some of my favorite new products.  I thought it would be fun to create a little card that I could put on my fridge to remind me of somethings I need to pick up the grocery store to get ready for some holiday baking.  Kelly has the cutest stamps with a whole new collection, just released.  You find them HERE over at the a2z Scrapbooking Store.  I have also included a Inlinkz list below that will link you to all the Hero products that I used to create my card.

Mini Cards In Pink and Blue

Hi, friends, Chark here today with some mini cards you can make to attach to a baby shower gift. I made one in blue and one in pink. The card is 3.25″ square and is meant to be tucked into a gift bag or punched and tied to a ribbon.

robots2I just love the little robot stamp set called Super Cool from Kelly Purkey that’s brand new in the store, so I snapped one up. It includes the phrase Domo Arigato, which I haven’t used yet, but think will come in handy at some point! These little phrases would be great for Father’s Day too.

robotI used my Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen and rhinestones to add some sparkle. The star background is the Stars Pattern stencil that I find myself using again and again.

If you look closely at this photo, you can see the glitter from the clear pen on the robot. I love glitter! And the pen worked as a waterbrush to spread some of the stamped color onto the robot. I used Distress Inks for the stamping and stenciling.

Stenciled Sympathy

The April Challenge at a2z is Stenciling.  When I play with stencils, it’s usually messy, so I make quite a few before I clean up.

Today’s card was made with several of my stencil leftovers using Hero Arts Gold Shimmer Spray & Hero Arts / BasicGrey Two Way Arrows Stencil.  I cut one of the stencil designs into 1/2″ strips and wove together a paper mat.  I used another leftover to frame the card base (the gold splatters are the overspill on the outside of the stencil).

az040515wmI added a new wood block stamp With Deepest Sympathy together with some paper flowers.  I punched leaves from the new Kelly Purkey Designer papers and used Hero Arts Grass Chalk ink on the edges to cover up the bits of white that show-up when you punch into white-cored paper.

I’m thrilled to be creating with new Hero Arts Stamps … have you checked out the latest release … so many cool things.

This card combines three new products  – Hero Arts/BasicGrey Waves Background; Hero Arts/BasicGrey Anchors Away; and Kelly’s No Comment.

I inked the waves with blue Hawaii and Blue Violet inks and then created my underwater wonderland by stamping on top with the same inks.  Kelly’s sentiment seemed perfect for my school of fish.

For the second card I used the same process (because if you’re going to stamp one … you might as well stamp two).

This time I used the sentiment from the Anchors Aweigh Set.
