Hero Arts Nasturtium

 

Hi Everyone, Kristina Here with a quick and simple floral birthday card with the Hero Arts Flowering Nasturtium stamp.

I stamped the image onto some kraft cardstock with versamark ink, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I did some very basic coloring with prismacolor colored pencils, followed by stamping my sentiment onto a piece of matching cardstock and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Country Scrapbook Layout w/ Hero Arts Fancy Boot Die

Hero Arts Fancy Boot Die

 

Hi Everyone, Kristina here with a scrapbook layout featuring one of Hero Arts newer dies, Fancy Boot! I love the attention to detail give to this die from the intricate flourishes on the book, to the faux stitching down the middle, and even the little ridge to separate the sole from the shoe!

It was very easy to put together as well. I first cut it out of some dark brown cardstock, removed all the little flourish pieces and adhered it down to the layout with some liquid adhesive. While that dried, I cut out a 2nd boot from teal card card stock, this time saving only the little flourish pieces. I added some liquid adhesive in the negative spaces on the boot I glued down to the layout, and added in the teal flourish pieces just like a puzzle!

Hero Arts Flowering Nasturtium

 

Hi Everyone, Kristina Here, and Its Friday!! Today I’m playing with the new Hero Arts Flowering Nasturtium stamp. I knew when I got it, it was meant for water coloring. I decided to go a little non-traditional with the colors, but close to true life Nasturtiums.

I started by stamping the image twice, once mirrored, and embossing with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I did some very basic water coloring following by a wash of blue across the background. To finish I added an accent of some black and white paper and stamped & embossed my sentiment.

Hero Arts Killer Messaged Mini Card Set

Hi Everyone, Kristina here with a mini card set showcasing the Hero Arts Killer Messages stamp set!
I bought this set mostly for the sentiments. I love the style, the design, and the sayings themselves!
They could be used with or without the other images in the set and they are nice bold stamps.

I wanted to make some water-ish backgrounds to go with the shark/whale, so I went with alcohol inks and made 4 different combos using the colors I had on hand. I used ranger glossy paper that I had die cut into little scallop squares, and dropped on my alcohol ink / blending solution and moved it all around until I got the look desired.

Once they had fully dried and treated them generously with my EK Success Powder tool before embossing the images and sentiments with Versa Mark and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.

I cut the back card panel from the same die and adhered to two together at the top, with a score line for opening. These little note cards measure 3.5×3.5, which I’ll make custom envelopes for, and send off to my friends just for little pick me ups!

Just Married Wedding Card with Sugartree Stamps

Hi Everyone, Kristina here! Wedding season is upon us isn’t it? I’ve got a card to share with you today using the new Sugartree Stamps “Mr. & Mrs.” wedding themed digital stamp set. I just love the getaway car image.

Teal is one of my favorite wedding colors so after printing out my image I used copic markers to color her in before moving on to the rest of the card.

I cut out some vine and floral images from Spellbinders, adhered to stick it adhesive so I could glitter. I glittered the die cuts with Elizabeth Craft Silk Microfine Glitter.

To finish I mounted the card panel onto some Hero Arts layering paper in pool, and added Nuvo Drop accents.

Sugartree Stamps Close Up | Whoot! Graduation Set

Today we’re taking a closer look at the newly released digital stamp set “Whoot!” from Sugartree Stamps. This set contains 4 Images + 15 mix & match sentiment options all in high resolution 300dpi PNG files with transparent backgrounds, Bonus “Congrats” SVG w/ drop shadow included!

To start my card base I did a quick watercolor wash with my Gansai Tambi watercolors, starting with the teal colors and then splattering with some gold. Next, I printed the graduation stamp onto some blue card stock and then traced over it with a gold gel pen, followed by cutting it out with my brother scan n cut. For my sentiment I uploaded the SVG file into cricut design space and cut out the image on my cricut explore using the same blue card stock from the hat, and some gold foil cardstock on top. Once the watercolor was dry I glued down my sentiment and popped the die cut hat on with some foam adhesive, and there you have it!

I wanted a fun multi-color background to go with the unicorn so I used some distress oxide inks, blended and then distressed with some water droplet. Next, I ran that through the printer to print on the sentiment from the Chase Rainbows set. While that was printing I colored my pre-printed unicorn with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I knew those markers would give me a smooth blend even with different colors. I kept the Unicorns body white, with a nice coating of shimmery wink of stella. To finish I added some accents with assorted Nuvo Drops and sequins.

Hero Arts Neon Safari

Hi Everyone! Kristina here with this hot neon lovely. I’ve been pondering ways to use the Hero Arts Safari Thanks stamp set for something other than basic silhouettes, and had this idea for a very bright colorful bunch of animals. Here’s what it turned into.

I started by cutting a mask from some masking paper to create a uniform circle to stamp my images in. After adhering the mask to cardstock, I arranged all my stamps the way I wanted them and picked up using my MISTI stamping tool. I inked them up 2 at a time and stamped down until the circle was full, filling in the white space with smaller images from the set. After removing the masking paper, I cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die, and printed on a sentiment from the Sugartree Stamps Party Animal digital set. To finish I mounted the panel onto some purple cardstock.

One Layer Masking with Hero Arts Wishing Well

Hi Everyone! Kristina here playing with the Hero Arts Wishing Well stamp set.
I’ve made a few cards with this one here and here, but I wanted to try out using the images in this set to
create a single layer scene with some masked ink blending. Here’s what I came up with.

To start I just stamped all of the images onto some masking paper and set aside, knowing I would need masks in the end.
Next I arranged my stamps how I wanted them, and carefully pulled them onto my MISTI layer by layer, stamping the images I wanted in front first. After all of the images were stamped and masked I used a cloud stencil and clarity brushes to create the background, and then blended some green ink onto the bottom for grass. I splattered some wink of stella across the sky for some sparkle. Gotta have sparkle. After removing the masks, I colored my images with copic markers, added a few pre-cut and colored images I had leftover from a previous project, and stamped and embossed a sentiment.
