Hero Arts Butterflies just flitting by

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a clean and simple note card for our “Bright and Beautiful” challenge this month. I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies stamp set along with the Neon Ink Cubes (Blue, Green, Orange, Pink) and Intense Black ink. An inky good time was had by all, lol!

I stamped the butterfly and sentiment on a small notebook paper die cut and layered it on white fun foam. I did manage to use all four of the Neon inks in the set on this card and got a bonus fifth color of purple on the butterfly by stamping blue over the pink. How cool is that?! Using the direct-to-paper technique, I inked three strips of cardstock in blue, green and orange, and trimmed them in varying widths to adhere diagonally across the bottom half of the card base. I finished the front with some drops of Morning New Crystal Drops which dries clear and gives some awesome texture. I left the inside blank since this is a note card.

Hero Arts Water Lilies Thinking of you

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a pretty CAS friendship card using the Hero Arts Color Layering Water Lilies stamp set, Hero Arts Color Layering Water Lilies Frame CutsVersamark, and Hero Arts Detail Black Embossing Powder.

Before I get to my project details, quite a few of the Hero Arts color layering stamp sets have sold out recently in the a2z Scrapbooking store and unfortunately this was one of them. I work ahead and had this card made prior to this stamp set selling out, but I have good news – you can special order it at no extra cost when you order your other Hero Arts stamps from a2Z Scrapbooking!

I stamped the water lily in shades of pink/pinkish-red and several lily pads in shades of green, and cut them all out with the coordinating frame cuts dies. I cut a scalloped frame from gingham paper to go around the outside of the opening matching the colors of ink used to stamp the water lily.

I adhered several lily pads beneath the water lily (which I popped up on foam pads) inside the opening, along with several sequins, and a couple lily pads on the front. I heat embossed the sentiment in black embossing powder.

Hero Arts Hydrangea note cards (set of 4)

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a gorgeous set of four clean and simple note cards using the Hero Arts Color Layering Hydrangeas stamp setHero Arts Hydrangea Layering inks, Hero Arts Hydrangea Frame Cuts and Hero Arts Intense Black ink.

Before I get to my project details, I want to mention that quite a few of the Hero Arts color layering stamp sets have sold out recently in the a2z Scrapbooking store and unfortunately this was one of them. I work ahead and had this card made prior to this stamp set selling out, but I have good news – you can special order it at no extra cost when you order your other Hero Arts stamps from a2Z Scrapbooking!

These cards were super easy. I stamped the hydrangea twice in the light and dark purple inks in the layering ink set, then twice again in the light and dark blue inks (also in the ink set), and cut them all with the coordinating frame cut die. I then stamped four sets of leaves in light and medium green inks, and cut those with the coordinating frame cut dies.

I used the positive and negative edges from the notebook border die cuts that I used as a strip accent beneath the hydrangeas. The positive edge is what the border is supposed to look like when it’s cut, and the negative edge is what’s leftover – which I turned upside down for a little interest on two of the cards. I added the hydrangeas on top of the strip and then finished the card fronts with random dots of Crystal Drops.

Cherish

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a CAS anniversary card using several Hero Arts products – Vintage Travel Digital Kit, Love by Lia stamp set, Intense Black inkPaper Layering Eiffel Tower die and Detail Black Embossing Powder.

I printed the Map overlay and the Postmark stamp in a 5.5″ square area along with the Paris stamp off to one side (all from the Vintage Travel Digital Kit) on white cardstock. I trimmed the map area to a size slightly smaller than my card base and matted it on black cardstock, then cut out the little Paris stamp and adhered it with dimensional foam at an angle over the postmark.

I cut a strip of red and white polkadot paper, matted it on black and adhered it across the bottom portion of the map panel. I stamped ‘cherish’ from the Love by Lia stamp set in Versamark and embossed it with the Detail Black Embossing Powder. I adhered the Paper Layering Eiffel Tower die cut with dimensional foam and finished the front with varying sizes of Berry Red Crystal Drops. This was so much fun and I’m loving how it turned out!

Hero Arts Poetic Petals Note Cards

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a set of four Poetic Petals Note Cards, each with a different flower and sentiment on the front and blank on the inside. These are large, at 5.5″ square, so there’s lots of room to write a message. I used the Hero Arts Poetic Petals Digital Kit and Say It In Pieces Digital Greetings. These flowers are absolutely gorgeous!

2017_07090006a

I put a fun little twist on these – that’s the beauty of working with digital images! I created a background of sentiments on which to print the flowers. I created one snippet of the Say It In Pieces Digital Greetings preview sheet, duplicated it three more times and printed the block of four snippets on a sheet of white cardstock.

I put the sentiments sheet back into the printer and printed the flowers right over top of the sentiments.

I fussy cut each flower, heat set it and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I ran each flower through my Creative Station to put adhesive on the back and adhered it to a piece of vanilla cardstock layered on gold mirror cardstock. For a little texture, I embossed a different color cardstock for each card which I layered on a piece of cardstock matching the color of the flower.

I chose four different sentiments which I printed on vanilla cardstock, cut into flags and layered on the gold mirror cardstock. I adhered the pieces to the card bases and finished each card with pearls. Here is a close-up of each card:
