Happy Halloween

Hi Stampers!

Ilina’s here today with a simple Halloween card to just say Happy Halloween. I hope you had great weekend and have a safe Halloween. For my card I used the Boo stamp and cut set and stamped and cut bunch of little ghosts using the Hero Arts Ombre Neon ink pads. Then for my card base I used black card stock, because I really wanted the ghosts to pop up and I think I accomplished my mission. I love how the neon images look on black background. On the side I added a strip of patterned paper from Doodlebug Boos and Brews 6×6 pad. Hope you like it and you are inspired to create something today!

Don’t forget to head over the A2ZScrapbooking Etsy store to get all stuff Hero Arts and use the coupon code “Ilina15” to get 15% off your order of $25+.

Color Layering Birds on Kraft

Hi, friends, Chark here today to show you some of the fun I had stamping with the color layering birds and branch set. I did use a Misti for this, because I was planning to stamp many birds. You can also use an acrylic block for color layering stamps…but I’m not that talented.

This stamp set is pretty easy to line up, just make sure the beak and tail are lined up and that’s about it. Little confession—I didn’t even use the last stamp because I didn’t notice it—the beak and eye are tiny. I just colored in the eye with a black pen afterward.

I used some white Unicorn ink for the first stamp on most of them and you can see that by their white bellies. Then I used the mid-tone Navy, and the Neon Ombre Chartreuse to Blue for the wings, the branches and leaves.  I like how the Ombre ink looks on the white bird layer, it’s brighter than when I’d stamped straight on the kraft, as you might expect. I used the blue and white Unicorn inks to shade the edges of this card. All of the Unicorn inks look fab on the kraft.

I used Vintage Photo brown and the Raspberry Jam mid-tone inks on this small card and the yellow Unicorn ink for the middle bird layer and on the flowers on the other cards. You can see that the yellow Unicorn ink shows up on the darker inks, but isn’t completely opaque. It works well for coloring layering stamps.

The sentiment and little leaves are from the Flower Garden set.

Don’t forget to break out your Hero Arts stamps, dies, stencils and digis to enter this month’s Anything Goes Challenge to try to win the $25 code to the a2z store. Pssst! The holiday stamps are coming and you might want to get some of those if you win…good luck!

Happy Sunday!
