Blessings Stamp n Cut with Hero Arts

Aloha and happy Monday friends!  There’s a great selection of sale items in the a2z Scrapbooking store and today I’m featuring a few of them including the Tim Holtz Distress inks!  So many good deals…definitely head on over!

You know how I love a versatile stamp set that can be used for all kinds of occasions?  This one is it!

Blessings Stamp n Cut

I’ve been in love with this Hero Arts Blessings Stamp and Cut! I love the font of the die cut, I love that you can just stamp it out, and the supporting sentiments are perfect for the upcoming holiday season as well!  Let’s take a look at my first card…

Hero Arts Blessings w/ Distress Inks

I stamped out the sentiment with Versamark ink and covered in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on white cardstock.  Then I used an ink  blending tool to add Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers. I wanted the “blessings” to be bright and with dimension, so I die cut the word twice and layered.  For a fun edge, I used Lawn Fawn’s Valentine Borders die.

Ombre Blessings Stamp n Cut with Hero Arts

You can tell I was having way too much fun, so I made a second card adding the ombre hearts (also a part of the Blessings Stamp n Cuts) using Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple ombre ink.  I changed up the design of the inking to follow the ombre hearts for fun and added some water droplets.

That’s it for me today!  I wish you all an awesome and creative week ahead!

Mahalo for stopping by!

Hero Arts Hello in Pink to Red Ombre

Hi friends, welcome back!

I made this uber CAS (clean and simple) card – so quick, so easy and just think of all the color combos you can use! Wouldn’t a set of these cards in a variety of colors be a beautiful gift? Since we are using shades of red this month, I used two ink pads – Hero Arts Intense Black and Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre. I very lightly sponged on some pink at the bottom and let it fade out towards the top.

I stamped random flowers and leaves from two stamp sets – For You Flower and You’re So Lovely. I used two layers of micropore tape for my baseline of stamping but some of the ink still seeped through; that’s okay, it’s handmade and not every single card can be perfection, RIGHT! I added a few pops of black to compliment the sentiment and finished it off with 3 enamel accents. So easy peasy!

New Orleans Mardi Gras Cards

Hi, friends, it’s Chark today with a couple of cards using the New Orleans wooden stamp from Hero Arts. I had to have this stamp because New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the U.S. (Never been out of the country, so I can’t say the world, but I imagine it’d still be at the top of the list.)

I first visited in high school when I unexpectedly got to take the French class trip to New Orleans…it’s where a friend of mine actually became my boyfriend, so you can see why the city is a favorite of mine, not to mention the food, the music, the feel of the French Quarter, the shops, the architecture, the very essence of just being on Bourbon Street. I’ve been back twice and never at Mardi Gras, but I always think of New Orleans at this time of year.

Both cards here use the Mermaid Ombre ink, which is gorgeous, for the backgrounds. The first card I wiped the pad onto vellum and then rubbed off some extra and let it dry. Be aware it takes awhile (read hours) to air dry on vellum. I used the ink to stamp the city skyline as well. I thought it looked like Mardi Gras colors (though the green is more teal), so I added some gold glitter washi and sequins.

This next card is a bit different and I used a white card for the background panel. I simply laid the ink pad onto the paper several times and then turned the pad sideways and patted the ink pad onto the previous inking, to make a plaid pattern. I added a white strip of paper with heart die cuts and added sequins and a digital sentiment (birthday is inside).

Last Minute Valentines w/ Hero Arts Digitals

Hero Arts Digital Words of Love

Hi Friends! Kristina here from LiveLoveLaughScrap I have a quick and simple mostly digital Valentines Day card for you today using Hero Arts Words of Love digital. Sometimes time just gets away from you and you need a quick and easy card to send out it in a jiffy, and this is it! Easily mass produced and ready to embellish > send.

The digital kit comes with both brushes and image files. I choose the brushes and created an Ombre background with the little candy hearts. I started with a pinky color and just slid down the color wheel, darker on each line.
To finish, I used another one of the brush files for my sentiment. Printed this baby off, trimmed it down, and embellished with some sequins!

Find these and other Hero Arts Digital Stamps in the a2z scrapbooking store AND enjoy 15% off your purchase of $25 or more using my discount code KRISTINA15 – Also, be sure to enter into our monthly challenge for your chance at a $25 gift card!! This month, is all things Red!! Any Shade of Red!

Hero Arts Layered Wreath

Dawn here with a stamped layering wreath to share.  Our challenge this month is all about layering – more than one layer –  I’ve gone for a coloured layer onto my white card base and then layers of ink on my wreath.   And I’ve chosen a non-traditional colour for my background

img_2067

I made the ombre background with some purple inks and then stamped the wreath (CL907)  in a variety of green inks – Hero Arts, Altenew, Versafine and  Distress inks.  I added some red and blue stars and flowers and some dots of purple and platinum Stickles.   The sentiment is stamped in Versafine green ink.  I added a red ribbon bow to the wreath.   A nice CAS card.

This beautiful wreath also comes with a matching die set (DI152)
