Hero Arts Orchid Branches Red

Hello everyone,

It’s Cindy.  I use this month’s challenge theme: Any Shade of Red as my inspiration of today’s card.  It’s a fairly simple card, except I use partial die cutting to add dimension.  You could consider it a one layer card with an attitude!  😀

My process:

  • On white card stock, ink and stamp the orchid branch from Hero Arts Color Layering Orchid in a Pot set in a pleasing composition in various shades of Red.
  • Stamp sentiment in black.
  • Distress with Spun Sugar all around.
  • Use matching frame cut and partial die cut at various length of the branches.
  • Layer and adhere red color paper on card base.
  • Add foam adhesive behind partial die cut branches with various thickness, the most thick at the tip of the branch, less closer to the base.
  • Adhere orchid panel to card.  Remove backing of foam tape from branches and adhere to card.  Slightly curl the flower petal to create more dimension.

Here’s a closer look.

Hero Arts Orchid in a Pot Golden

Hello everyone,

Cindy here to share a non-holiday theme card.  After having made a bunch of Christmas cards, I needed a change of scenery so I  took out my Hero Arts’ Color Layering Orchid in a Pot clear stamp set and the matching frame cut to play.

The motif on the pattern paper is golden, but I couldn’t quite get it to be photographed under my lamp.  But with a little less light, it seems to show up better.

My process:

  • On white card stock, ink and stamp the first layer of the orchid in Barn Door, and stem in Peeled Paint.  Let dry completely.
  • Stamp the last layer of the orchid in clear embossing ink and heat emboss with gold EP.
  • Stamp the leaves in layers and the moss with various distress ink.
  • Stamp the pot in clear embossing ink and heat emboss with gold EP.
  • Using match frame cut to die all pieces.
  • Trim pattern paper to fit  and adhere to white card base.
  • Use foam adhesive to mount the orchid in the pot onto card front.
  • Die cut small tag, stamp sentiment from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag clear set in Peeled Paint.
  • Embellish with golden seed beads (use glossy accent to adhere).
  • Tie tag to orchid, and adhere to card with foam adhesive.

Here’s a closer look.

Clean and Simple Hero Arts Orchid

Hi  there crafters… Dawn here to share my CAS card.  Hope you think it’s Clean and Simple enough.  I have used some patterned paper but still think it is okay.

Hello Orchid

Hero Arts Orchid – Just a note to say Hello

I started by stamping the orchid from CL 946 Color Layering Orchid in a Pot,  I used a Spellbinders edge die to cut the white panel and layered it over the PP.  I pair my orchid with a sentiment and a die cut from DC151 Hello Stamp and Die set.  I used some red shiny card to cut the hello.
