Poetic Petals Card Set

Hello Friends – Annie here with another fun project. As we are nearing the holiday season most of us will be invited to parties and functions. A hostess gift is always a nice thing to bring and give. Or perhaps you are already working on your gifts for the upcoming season.

A simple set of small cards perfect for quick thank you’s or hello’s is a nice and easy thing to have ready to give.

I created this set of card using the Poetic Petals Digital from Hero Arts Poetic Petals Digital from Hero Arts  which is perfect for these small cards.

Here are the cards I created. I kept them simple to fit our current challenge.

First, I resized the flowers and printed them onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Then I colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers (see below for colors). I then fussy cut them out.

Second, I cut 4 pieces of heavy weight white cardstock to 3″ X 8″. Score at 4″. Then, I put a circle color from Distress Oxide ink. (you can use any ink here) that compliments the flowers. This will provide a landing spot for the flowers.

Third, I placed foam adhesive behind the flowers and place onto the circle of color. Then, I  added some finishing touches with Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in Gold in the center of the flowers and some Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops. Repeat for all cards.

Now you have a full set of cards. Add some mini envelops and place them in a gift card box. You have the perfect hostess gift.

So, stop on over to the shop and pick up this beautiful digital download – I can’t wait to see what you create with it! Have a fantastic crafting day!

You are Wonderful – Stamp & Cut w/ Poetic Petals

Aug30 real one wm a2z.jpg

Hello, Angie here with some last minute inspiration for our soon to be concluded August Challenge “Bright and Beautiful”.  I hope you will find the time to join us and enter for a chance to win $25 gift card to the a2z store!

I used Hero Arts digital set Poetic Petals (see links below in supplies list) along with the Wonderful Stamp and Cut set to make this bright card.  After printing and coloring the flower, I fussy cut it out and added it to a card base that I had stenciled with Distress Oxide inks using a Tim Holtz Rays stencil.  The word die was cut from white and I cut an additional black border around it to help it pop.  I added some sparkle to the word and I was done!  Quick and easy!  (See my list of supplies below.)

Hero Arts Poetic Petals Note Cards

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share an a2z Scrapbooking DT inspiration project with you today, a set of four Poetic Petals Note Cards, each with a different flower and sentiment on the front and blank on the inside. These are large, at 5.5″ square, so there’s lots of room to write a message. I used the Hero Arts Poetic Petals Digital Kit and Say It In Pieces Digital Greetings. These flowers are absolutely gorgeous!

I put a fun little twist on these – that’s the beauty of working with digital images! I created a background of sentiments on which to print the flowers. I created one snippet of the Say It In Pieces Digital Greetings preview sheet, duplicated it three more times and printed the block of four snippets on a sheet of white cardstock.

I put the sentiments sheet back into the printer and printed the flowers right over top of the sentiments. I fussy cut each flower, heat set it and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I ran each flower through my Creative Station to put adhesive on the back and adhered it to a piece of vanilla cardstock layered on gold mirror cardstock. For a little texture, I embossed a different color cardstock for each card which I layered on a piece of cardstock matching the color of the flower.

I chose four different sentiments which I printed on vanilla cardstock, cut into flags and layered on the gold mirror cardstock. I adhered the pieces to the card bases and finished each card with pearls. Here is a close-up of each card:
