Make Snowmen from Ornaments Dies

Hi, friends, Chark here today with you on Christmas Eve! Such an exciting day of the year, with lots of anticipation. I remember never being able to sleep on Christmas Eve. One night, my oldest sister got us up to see Rudolph in the sky…our middle sister didn’t believe it was Rudolph, but I saw the glowing red light, so I knew she was right 🙂

Today I’ve taken the Ornaments Infinity Dies and turned them into something new…snowmen! I’ve used these dies in a variety of ways (including Santa and Rudolph here) and I’m really enjoying creating something new with them and getting my money’s worth, lol!

This guy just uses the large ornament die for the head and hat and one of smaller ornaments for his nose. I used a scrap of red cardstock and the Hero Arts Circle Infinity dies for the eyes and pompon.

This guy uses the same circles and ornaments for his features and hat. I just cut one circle in half for his laughing eyes.

These came together super quick and can be used as ornaments, tags or cards.

Wishing you a lovely day and holiday season!

Vintage Christmas Wishes for Guests

Hi, friends, it’s Chark here today to share some place cards I’ve made for the big holiday dinner. I’m using the Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Wishes stamps and they are so sweet and classic, they’re perfect for the fall and winter holidays.

I’ve just written the names here, but of course stickers or some letter stamps would work too. I’m trying to decide if I should adhere these to a candy treat or just lay them on the plates. Either way, I think they’ll go great with the dinnerware.

The extra little deer-in-the-woods tag will have to find his way into the table decor. I could glue him to the front of a big candle, attach him to a vase or add him to one of the bowls to decorate it. Hmmm…I still have some time to decide, but I’m thinking a vase that’s tied with some greenery and twine and filled with flowers might be just the thing.

Do you like to use your stamps for more than cards and scrapbooks? It’s one of my favorite things to do and this stamp isn’t just for Christmas. You could use the trees to create a background for a lot of different stamps. And if you use some colorful markers to make dots, you could create a fall scene easily. The script would be fabulous in some art journaling or on any kind of vintage cards.

If you want to get some great deals for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, you can still get them this week at the store, including the $75 Surprise Box for just $25! Or you can go with the Free Domestic Shipping on $50 or more (FreeShipping16), along with a free gift for all orders $50 and over, tons of great pricing in the sale section and it turns out, you can get all these together!! Hop on by soon to fill your cart with goodies for yourself, gifts for family and friends or fun surprises for all! And don’t forget, every purchase made at a2z Scrapbooking helps fund charities close to our heart—those supporting people with celiac and Behcet’s disease. THANK YOU!!

Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Two Ways

Hi, friends, Chark here today with the Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Wishes stamps and dies. I used traditional colors on this first card. I added some Diamond Stickles to my snowman to make him sparkle, just like real snow sparkles in the sun…and you can see that in the close-up.

For the second version of the snowman in the woods, I used fun colors and sparkly gems for the snowflakes. I made this with an acetate card and affixed the snowman and snowflakes to the outside of the acetate, with the rest of the scene mounted on a pink card inside the acetate card. In the close-up, you can see the layers.

I thought of these fun colors because of a book I had when I was a kid, it was called The Littlest Snowman and he eats ice cream and then lets the wind take him up so he can “rain down” colorful snow on the village. It was the 70s, we didn’t have too many normal kid books 🙂

Hope you enjoyed the cards today…the stamp set is on sale in the store right now for just $13.95! And if you add some more goodies to make your cart worth $50, you can get FREE SHIPPING on domestic orders plus a free surprise!

Hope you’ll join in our November Challenge and Embellish It with Hero Arts to try to win $25 to the a2z Scrapbooking store!

Hello everyone!  Its Kymona here from Kreative Kymona and I’m super excited about being here with you today.  I have some exciting new to share with all of you today.

It’s Black Friday!!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  So much food, family and friends.  I love this time of year because I get to spend it with my sibling.  All of us live in different states, so when the holidays roll around we get together and have an amazing time. Now that the food, fun and reminiscing are over its time to shop.  So many great deals all over the place.  I even saw on the news that a lady is having a Black Friday sale on her house.  Whoever made an offer today, will get the house for $10,000 less.  LOL, I can’t knock her.  Everyone loves and needs a  deal, right!

But before I get into what we have in store for you, I want to share the card I made with all of you. Our current challenge is:

Anything Goes copy

My card uses on of my favorite Hero Arts stamp set and die.  Take a look at my card:

Warm Wishes

I love this snowman!  I think he so cute.  I love how we can decorate him however we want.  I also thought he was appropriate for my post today since everyone shops for Christmas presents today.  This little guy should get you ready for a long lines today.

Take a closer look at the glitter on his hat and scarf:

Warm Wishes close up

Isn’t he just the cutest!!  I combined this set with the sentiment from the Hero Arts Stamp and Cut Let it Snow set.

To create the base of the card:

I cut the white cardstock to 1.5 inches by 5.25.  I cut the raspberry ripple cardstock to 1/2″ and adhered it to the back of the white cardstock.

I stamped my sentiment with Hero Arts Raspberry Jam mid-tone ink.

I adhered the pieces to the card base.  I adhered the snowman with foam tape.  I stamped some mini snow flakes to the card to make it look like it was snowing.

I added some Hero Arts Gems for added embellishments.

My snow man was sponged with Hero Arts Tide Pool mid-tone ink.  I colored his nose with Copic YR04 and YR07.  I added Clear Wink of Stella on the hat and scarf.

I added a couple faux stitched lines for added interest.

So what do you think of my snowman!!  Let me know!!  I would love to hear from you!!

The snowman, snowman die cut, the sentiment and gems can all be found at the a2z Scrapbooking Store. If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used please head on over to the store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your purchase.

I hope my card gives you some inspiration to participate in our Current Challenge. It runs to the end of the month, which ends in a couple of days. So hurry and create!

You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Hope to see you there!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow…

Hello everyone! Kymona here from Kreative Kymona, with a fun Christmas card that combines two of my favorite things to do.

Can you guess what those things are?  Yes, making cards and the other thing is……Knitting!!  Yes, I can knit, go figure.

When I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to bust out my knitting needles!

Take a look at my card:

Snowman sideview

You can’t tell me this little snowman isn’t warm around his neck, LOL!!  I think this card is so cute. I love how I was able to combine both of my passions together to create a card that anyone would love.

So you want to know how I created this card, here you go:

1. I used Hero Arts Bubble Confetti Stencil with Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste to create my snowball background on my card panel.

2. I stamp the snowman, his face and the sentiment from the Hero Arts Frosty Wishes stamp set with Hero Arts Black Ink.

3. I cut out the snowman and arms from Hero Arts Snowman Die Cuts.

4. I used my circle die to cut out the sentiment.

5. I sponged Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Pool on the edge of the sentiment circle and to add a soft color to my snowman.

6. I used Copic markers YR04 and YR07 to color his nose.

7. I added red buttons to the front of the snowman.

8. I knitted my snowman’s scarf and tied it around his neck.

Snowman closeup

9. I added glossy accents to my snowman’s eyes for added dimension.

10. I added foam adhesive to the back of my snowman and sentiment. The trick here is, I double the adhesive because the bulkiness of the scarf made the snowman not sit evenly on my card panel.

11. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the snowballs and the sentiment for a little shine.

12. I round the corners of my card panel.  I added smaller foam piece to the backside and adhered it to my card base for a finished card.

So what do you think?  Isn’t this snowman and die set just the cutest set you’ve seen!! Isn’t neat how you can add things to your cards that are non-tools in your toolbox!!

For those who knit here are the instructions:

Cast on 3 stitches and knit for until your scarf is about 7″ long.  Bind off.

Simple and so easy to make.  It took me just a half an hour to create this scarf.

The items I used for my cards besides the knitting materials can all be found at the a2z Scrapbooking Store.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used please head on over to the store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your purchase.

I hope my card gives you some inspiration to participate in our Current Challenge.  It runs to the end of the month.  The theme is Autumn and Christmas.  You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.  Hope to see you there!
