Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy

Hi friends – happy, happy HUMP day – said in my best camel impersonation voice! Hope you are having a great week!

Sentiment Focus

This month we are focusing on sentiments but I couldn’t help but break out these GORGEOUS color layering poppies for a clean and simple card! I stamped the flowers with 3 colors of distress inks (listed below), then added some shading with Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the sentiment from You’re So Lovely in Hero Arts Intense Black ink, splattered on some watered down paint, added some washi tape and called it good!

Color Layering Flamingo

flamingo wm main

Hi everyone, it’s Angie here with a card made with the Hero Arts Layering Flamingo stamp and frame cut sets!   I hope you will enter this month’s “Anything Goes” challenge at the a2zscrapbooking blog.  You can win a $25 gift certificate to the store – just remember to use one main Hero Arts product!

I stamped the flamingo with my Mini Misti and die cut it, plus another white one and one out of fun foam.  Then I cut one out of the red panel and stacked all the dies together to give the flamingo dimension.  I added the other stamps and sentiment (from the same set) and then mounted it on a piece of black card stock, then onto a white card.  The edges of the card have dotted washi tape on them.  Lastly I added some water droplets from my stash and a little Wink of Stella on the darkest parts of the flamingo.

Remember if you need supplies, even ones you don’t see in the a2z store, you can special order them (Request Custom Order) and don’t forget to use code Angie 15!  This way you can get 15% off your order totaling $25 or more!

Here is my supply list:

Selective Stenciling with Embossing Paste

Hello Card by Kristina

Hi Friends, Kristina here with some more embossing paste play for this months challenge!
I wanted to go a little outside the box, so instead of using a whole stencil, I selectively stenciled certain parts!

A whole lotta masking tape went into the making of this card!

First I made a washi tape border down the left side of the card and attached a strip of Vellum.
Next I used Micropore tape to mask off the area’s of the stencil {one at a time} I wanted to use and
rubbed on embossing paste died with Hero Arts dye inks, letting each dry before adding the next image.

To finish the card I added a simple sentiment and a few sequins!

Now, You still have a few more days to enter our Texture/Embossing Paste challenge for August
Your entry could win you a $25 gift certificate to the store!

If you’re interested in the supplies used in this card, I’ve linked them below AND how about 15% off?
Use code KRISTINA15 in the a2z scrapbooking store for 15% of $25+ purchase.

One more thing before I go, did you know that we are on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook?. If you haven’t done so already, please follow us on these different social media outlets!! You don’t want to miss out on any fun promotions!!
