Hero Arts Layered Wreath

Dawn here with a stamped layering wreath to share.  Our challenge this month is all about layering – more than one layer –  I’ve gone for a coloured layer onto my white card base and then layers of ink on my wreath.   And I’ve chosen a non-traditional colour for my background

img_2067

I made the ombre background with some purple inks and then stamped the wreath (CL907)  in a variety of green inks – Hero Arts, Altenew, Versafine and  Distress inks.  I added some red and blue stars and flowers and some dots of purple and platinum Stickles.   The sentiment is stamped in Versafine green ink.  I added a red ribbon bow to the wreath.   A nice CAS card.

This beautiful wreath also comes with a matching die set (DI152)

Hero Arts Wreath card and tags

Dawn here to share a Christmas card and some tags I have made with Hero Arts Wreath stamp and die set (SB120 – they can also be purchased separately CL970 stamps and DI152 die cuts)

Hero Arts Wreath

I die cut a panel using a Kaisercraft die.  I stamped the layering wreath using a variety of inks – Hero Arts and Altenew and then added some red embossed dots and a few gold embossed stars.   I gold embossed the bow and die cut it.  The sentiment was stamped with red ink and clear embossed.   I’m very thankful for the help from MISTI.  It really makes layering stamps easy.   I then used some stamps from Hero Arts DC 187 Peace Stamp & Cut set to stamp the little bird (fussy cut) and the remainder of the sentiment.

And of course as our challenge this month is “Tags”  I couldn’t resist to use the Wreath set to make a couple of tags

Wreath Tags

One was stamped directly as a one layer tag and the second on used a die cut wreath, bow and berries.  Die cut using a CAS-ual Fridays die.  (Hero Arts have some lovely tag dies as well HERE)

Card and Tags - Christmas wreath

  • Glue trimmed leaves on edge of circle.
  • Add number sticker on from, and foam adhesive on the back.  Set aside.
  • On white card stock lay Hero Arts BasicGrey Flag Pattern Stencil on top and secure in place.
  • Press clear embossing ink on desire areas, remove stencil, heat emboss with Brass EP.

Using Summer Stamps for Christmas?

Merry and Bright

I love stretching stamps! I set out on a mission to find a way to use some of my non-holiday Hero Arts stamps on a Christmas card, ‘Tis the season and all. So I pulled out a floral stamp, and decided to make somewhat of a holiday wreath with them. No I could’ve kept going with the stamping for a full wreath, but after I got started I like the look of an open border so I left it there. Here’s what I did:

I used a circle die and pencil to draw on an temporary circle image to base my wreath off of.
I began stamping images parallel to one another using Christmas colors until it looked the way I wanted.
Next, I used an anti static powder tool on the card base before stamping my sentiment in versamark and heat embossing some liquid platinum embossing powder.
I mounted the panel onto some craft foam, and then onto a blue card stock base.
